STRIKE-MS: Synergistic Texture and Raw Intensity Knowledge Extraction for Active MS Lesion Detection on Non-Contrast MRI

open access: yesIEEE Access
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. To detect active lesions in this disease, gadolinium-based contrast agents are injected before magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Decoupling Light Absorption From Photocatalytic Reactivity in TiO2 via Defect and Interfacial Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid photoprotective material integrates N‐doped TiO2 with a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) to achieve broad‐spectrum attenuation and robust reactive oxygen species (ROS) suppression. Nitrogen doping extends attenuation into the UVA/high energy visible light (HEV) regions and facilitates fast charge recombination to inhibit ROS formation.

Study of new procedures of elaboration of alkalitreated green table olives, not fermented, preserved by heat treatments

open access: yesGrasas y Aceites, 2007
Two new procedures for the elaboration of alkali-treated green table olives, without fermentation, preserved by sterilization or pasteurization were studied. In each case, the aim was to obtain a product with good quality and guaranteed safety.

HOF‐Stabilized Apple EV Nanocargo in an NIR‐Responsive Hydrogel Enables On‐Demand Therapeutic Modulation for Transdermal Deep‐Joint Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An NIR‐responsive transdermal hydrogel integrating apple EV nanocargo, berberine, piperine, HOFs, and graphene oxide enables localized osteoarthritis modulation. The platform supports enhanced transdermal delivery together with mild hyperthermia‐associated and redox‐related responses, leading to reduced inflammation and oxidative stress, improved ...

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Studying the Effects of Nucleating Agents on Texture Modification of Puffed Corn‐Fish Snack [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, 2014
Abstract To improve textural attributes of puffed corn‐fish snack, the effects of 1%, 1.5%, and 2% of calcium carbonate, magnesium silicate (talc), sodium bicarbonate as well as 5% and 10% of wheat bran (as the nucleating materials) on textural attributes were studied.

Convergently Emergent: Ecological and Enactive Approaches to the Texture of Agency

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
Enactive and ecological approaches to cognitive science both claim a “mutuality” between agents and their environments – that they have a complementary nature and should be addressed as a single whole system.

Engineered AuNPs/fMWCNT Nanocomposite Electrodes for High‐Sensitivity Methylglyoxal Sensing in Saliva and Sweat for Non‐Invasive Diabetes Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An AuNPs/fMWCNT nanocomposite‐modified screen‐printed carbon electrode was engineered via sequential electrodeposition and integrated into a 3D‐printed microfluidic platform for ultrasensitive methylglyoxal detection. The non‐invasive sensing platform enables rapid analysis in saliva and sweat, highlighting strong potential for wearable point‐of‐care ...
