Familial TGCT: polygenic aetiology advanced
Nature Reviews Urology, 2018A polygenic risk score (PRS) analysis reported that familial testicular germ cell tumours (TGCTs) were significantly enriched for TGCT risk alleles and that ≥84% were attributable to polygenic enrichment, supporting the polygenic aetiological basis of familial TGCT.

The diffuse-type tenosynovial giant cell tumor (dt-TGCT) patient journey: a prospective multicenter study [PDF]
Background: Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare, locally aggressive neoplasm arising from the synovium of joints, bursae, and tendon sheaths affecting small and large joints.

AbstractTenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare, benign, locally aggressive synovial based neoplastic process that can result in functional debilitation and end‐stage arthrtitis. Although surgical resection is the primary treatment modality, novel systemic therapies are emerging as part of the multimodal armamentarium for patients with ...

Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT): Mechanisms and advances in targeted treatments
Tenosynovial giant cell tumors (TGCT) are rare, locally aggressive, mesenchymal tumors occurring in the joints and tendon sheaths, which can cause pain, swelling, and have a substantial negative impact on patient quality of life. While surgery is the current standard of care for most cases of TGCT, there are several drawbacks including risk of ...

Patient journey and quality of life (QOL) among diffuse-type TGCT in the U.S.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2020e23565 Background: Diffuse Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor (d-TGCT) is a rare, locally aggressive neoplasm of joint and tendon sheath synovia, which may severely affect patients (pts) QOL due to pain, limited joint function and destruction of bone and local tissues.

Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) in neonates and infants
Seminars in Diagnostic Pathology, 2016Dr. Louis Dehner has contributed significantly to our understanding of testicular germ cell tumors in children. This review article considers the molecular biology, clinical attributes, pathologic findings, and prognosis of those lesions.

Evaluation of genes associated with undescended testes as predictors of TGCT susceptibility.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 20121539 Background: Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) are highly heritable. Cryptorchidism (undescended testes; UDT) is a strong risk factor for TGCT, with increased risk to both the ipsilateral and contralateral testes. However, recent genome-wide association studies (GWAS) identifying genetic variants associated with TGCT susceptibility have not ...

Emerging therapeutics in the management of tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT)
Expert Review of Anticancer TherapyTenosynovial giant cell tumors (TGCTs) are locally aggressive mesenchymal neoplasms that often occur in younger patients and cause long-term disability. Surgical management remains the standard of care, but with high risks of surgical morbidity, systemic treatment options are important to consider, particularly in diffuse disease.

Abstract 4669: Circulating cytokines as biomarkers of BEP toxicity in TGCTs patients
Cancer Research, 2017Abstract Background: Cytokines are key components in process of inflammation and immune response, what are important processes in many toxicities. Bleomycin, etoposide, cisplatinum (BEP) is a standard treatment in patients with testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs). Grade 3/4 toxicity can be dose limiting and can highly influence patient’s

Multifocality in testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT): what is the significance of this finding?
International Urology and Nephrology, 2013The aim of the study is to determine the association between multifocality and the pathological features of testicular germ cell tumors and its clinical implication.Orchiectomy specimens from 254 consecutive patients with testis cancer between 2003 and 2013 were included. Multifocality was defined as a distinct tumor focus of cluster of malignant cells
