The accretion history of the Milky Way
Several studies have associated globular clusters (GCs) with former Galactic accretion events by comparing their positions in the energy-angular momentum (E-Lz) plane, an approach further supported by similarities in their age-metallicity relations ...

4-H Group Visiting Cows at Milky Way Farm
A group of young 4-H members visit the cows at Cecil Reagan's Milky Ways Farms. The farm was in operation on Upper Manatee River Road from 1954 to 1992.

The full, radio to γ -ray spectrum of the Fermi bubbles is shown to be consistent with standard strong-shock electron acceleration at the bubble edge, without the unnatural energy cutoffs and unrealistic electron cooling of previous studies, if the ...

Hydrostatic pressure activates HIF‐1α via β‐catenin to promote stemness in breast cancer cells
To mimic the elevated intestinal fluid pressure in breast cancers, we loaded human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7, MDA‐MB‐453, and BT‐474) to 50 mmHg hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure exposure upregulated HIF‐1α and induced stemness in MCF‐7 and BT‐474 cells.

The Three-phase Evolution of the Milky Way
We illustrate the formation and evolution of the Milky Way over cosmic time, utilizing a sample of 10 million red giant stars with full chemodynamical information, including metallicities and α -abundances from low-resolution Gaia XP spectra.

Constraining the formation of the Milky Way: Ages
We present a new approach for studying the chemodynamical evolution of the Milky Way, which combines a thin disk chemical evolution model with the dynamics from N-body simulation of a galaxy with properties similar to those of our Galaxy.

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

The collision between the Milky Way and Andromeda and the fate of their supermassive black holes
Our Galaxy and the nearby Andromeda Galaxy (M31) form a bound system, even though the relative velocity vector of M31 is currently not well constrained.
