Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

To theory of gravitational interaction [PDF]

open access: yesActa Phys. Polon. B40:229-239,2009, 2008
Some principal problems of general relativity theory and attempts of their solution are discussed. The Poincare gauge theory of gravity as natural generalization of Einsteinian gravitation theory is considered. The changes of gravitational interaction in the frame of this theory leading to the solution of principal problems of general relativity theory

A Lorentz variant theory that passes fundamental tests of special relativity and makes diverging, testable but as of yet untested predictions [version 2; peer review: 2 approved]

open access: yesF1000Research
Background Tests of special relativity have been conducted over the past century with increasing accuracy and none have showed violations of Lorentz invariance.

The philosophical dimension of Einstein's theory of relativity

open access: yesآداب الكوفة, 2015
After the previous presentation of the dimensions of this theory, with its private and general parts, lies for us Stand on the following results: First / that the opinions that the theory of relativity came with have great philosophical dimensions ...

Stochastic variation in the FOXM1 transcription program mediates replication stress tolerance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cellular heterogeneity is a major cause of drug resistance in cancer. Segeren et al. used single‐cell transcriptomics to investigate gene expression events that correlate with sensitivity to the DNA‐damaging drugs gemcitabine and prexasertib. They show that dampened expression of transcription factor FOXM1 and its target genes protected cells against ...

A Discussion of Special Relativity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Five topics: A rigid body does not exist in the special theory of relativity; distant simultaneity defined with respect to a given frame of reference without any reference to synchronized clocks; challenges on Einstein's connection of synchronization and contraction; a theory of relativity without light, composition of relative velocities and space of ...

Plasma lipidomic and metabolomic profiles in high‐grade glioma patients before and after 72‐h presurgery water‐only fasting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.
