Thermal time in sprinkler-irrigated lowland rice [PDF]

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira, 2017
: The objective of this work was to evaluate methods of thermal time calculation and the duration of the development stages of lowland rice (Oryza sativa) irrigated by sprinkling. The experiment was conducted during three growing seasons (2010/2011, 2011/

THERMAL CALCULATION OF THE RECTIFIER

open access: yes, 2022
A rectifier is an electrical device that converts alternating current (AC), which periodically changes direction, into direct current (DC), which flows in only one direction. Three-phase rectifiers make it possible to obtain large amounts of direct currents with low levels of output voltage ripples, which affects the reduction of requirements for the ...

Calculation, simulation and fast estimation of thermal resistance of rotary voice coil actuators

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2022
Rotary voice coil actuator (RVCA) is mainly used for reciprocating drive of small inertia loads in a limited range of angle, which is widely used in aerospace and other fields. Thermal resistance is one of the most important parameters of RVCAs, which is

CALCULATION OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY FOR CRYSTALLINE NANOSTRUCTURES

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Technologies and Materials, 2023
We have introduced a theory for the calculation of thermodynamic characteristics for some characteristic nanostructures (ultrathin films and superlattices), using the adapted method of two-time temperature Green's functions.

Thermal Stability of Ionic Liquids: Current Status and Prospects for Future Development

open access: yesProcesses, 2021
Ionic liquids (ILs) are the safest solvent in various high-temperature applications due to their non-flammable properties. In order to obtain their thermal stability properties, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is extensively used to analyze the kinetics

GENERALIZED THERMAL ZETA-FUNCTIONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We calculate the partition function of a harmonic oscillator with quasi-periodic boundary conditions using the zeta-function method. This work generalizes a previous one by Gibbons and contains the usual bosonic and fermionic oscillators as particular ...

Mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation is stimulated by red light irradiation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Light at different wavelengths has distinct effects on keratinocyte viability and metabolism. UVA light abrogates metabolic fluxes. Blue and green light have no effect on metabolic fluxes, while red light enhanced oxidative phosphorylation by promoting fatty acid oxidation. Keratinocytes are the primary constituents of sunlight‐exposed epidermis.
