Thermal Denaturation Kinetics of Whey Protein and Maltodextrin Mixture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This chapter presents thermal denaturation studies of whey protein and maltodextrin mixture. Different compositions of whey protein–maltodextrin mixture were exposed to various temperature and holding time.

Malectin Alleviates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus via Glycoprotein Quality Control Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

Kinetic Study on the Thermal Denaturation of Rice Mitochondrial DNA [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The thermal denaturation of the rice mitochondrial DNA in diFFerent solutions have been studied by using ultraviolet absorption spectrometry at 50 ℃, and their kinetic behaviour of the thermal denaturation has been discussed. The kinetic curves of the ...

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Identifies a microRNA Orchestrating Pleiotropic Resistance to Targeted Therapy and T Cell Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Effects of osmolytes on Pelodiscus sinensis creatine kinase: A study on thermal denaturation and aggregation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The protective effect of osmolytes on the thermal denaturation and aggregation of Pelodiscus sinensis muscle creatine kinase (PSCK) was investigated by a combination of spectroscopic methods and thermodynamic analysis.

The Dietary Inclusion of Chickpea Seeds (Cicer Arietinum L.) Influences the Thermal Properties of Muscle Proteins, But Not the Texture of Drumstick Muscle in Broiler Chickens

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Poultry Science
In this study, the effect of replacement of soybean meal with raw chickpea seeds as a primary protein source in the diet of broiler chicks on physical properties of drumstick muscle (m. gastrocnemius) was examined.

Nanocellulose Alleviates Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy via Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Bile Acid Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Utilization of thermal analysis in study on protein denaturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of techniques of thermal analysis in the study of thermal denaturation of proteins. As a model protein was chosen lysozyme. In the experimental part were used two methods of thermal analysis – differential scanning

HNRNPU K181 Lactylation Drives Cervical Cancer Growth by Upregulating PHGDH and Reprogramming Serine Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.
