Heat treatment of milk signifies a certain degree of protein denaturation, which modifies the functional properties of dairy products. Traditional methods for detecting and quantifying the denaturation of whey proteins are slow, complex and require ...

Beneficial impact of human placenta extracts on erythrocyte membrane thermostability [PDF]
PURPOSE: To study the influence of human placenta extract (HPE) and its individual fractions on the thermal stability of human erythrocyte membrane. METHODS: HPE fractions were isolated by gel chromatography. Thermal hemolysis of erythrocytes, exposed to

Thermal denaturation of a helicoidal DNA model [PDF]
We study the static and dynamical properties of DNA in the vicinity of its melting transition, i.e. the separation of the two strands upon heating. The investigation is based on a simple mechanical model which includes the helicoidal geometry of the molecule and allows an exact numerical evaluation of its thermodynamical properties.

Thermal Fluctuation Spectroscopy of DNA Thermal Denaturation [PDF]
We have developed the technique of thermal fluctuation spectroscopy to measure the thermal fluctuations in a system. This technique is particularly useful to study the denaturation dynamics of biomolecules like DNA. Here we present a study of the thermal fluctuations during the thermal denaturation (or melting) of double-stranded DNA.

Thermal denaturation of erythrocyte carbonic anhydrase [PDF]
An experimental study on the thermal behaviour of erythrocyte carbonic anhydrase was carried out with the main aim to estimate the thermodynamic parameters that control the stability of the enzyme. The effects of thermal denaturation on the catalytic properties of the enzyme were also investigated.

Earlier Denaturation of DNA By Using Novel Ternary Hybrid Nanoparticles
Two novel ternary hybrid nanoparticles (THNp) consisting of graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxides (rGO) were added to samples of DNA. The effect of the addition of nanoparticles on the thermal denaturation of DNA samples was studied by ...
