A series of 6-aryl-3-(3-hydroxypropyl)-7H-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]-thia-diazines were synthesized by the reaction of 4-amino-3-(3-hydroxypropyl)-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (1) with substituted ω-haloacetophenones.
