Thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole-Based Donor-Acceptor Covalent Organic Frameworks for Sunlight-Driven Hydrogen Evolution.

Angewandte Chemie, 2020
2D covalent organic frameworks (COFs) could have well-defined arrangements of photo- and electro-active units that serve as electron or hole transport channels for solar energy harvesting and conversion, but their insufficient charge transfer and rapid ...

Synthesis, antimicrobial and antioxidant evaluation with in silico studies of new thiazole Schiff base derivatives

Journal of Molecular Structure, 2022
A series of nineteen thiazole Schiff base derivatives 2a-2s were synthesized (Scheme 1) and elucidated by spectral analyses (IR, 1H NMR and HRMS). The evaluation of their antimicrobial activities against two gram-positive, two gram-negative, and two ...

Novel structural hybrids of quinoline and thiazole moieties: Synthesis and evaluation of antibacterial and antifungal activities with molecular modeling studies.

Bioorganic chemistry (Print), 2021
One of the best ways to design new biocidal agents is synthesizing hybrid molecules by combining two or more bioactive moieties in a single molecular scaffold.

Chemistry of the thiazoles

Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences - Section A, 1953
Chrysean has been isolated in two forms; whether they are stereosoimers or only dimorphic forms is discussed. A mechanism of formation of chrysean is suggested. With methyl iodide it gives readily the S-methyl derivative which reacts easily with aniline,p-chloraniline andm-aminophenol to furnish the amidino derivatives of formula (IX).

Thiazoles and Thiazolidinones as Antioxidants

Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2013
Antioxidants are of great interest because of their involvement in important biological and industrial processes. According to Halliwell antioxidants are substances that at low concentration significantly delay or prevent oxidation. Chemically, oxidation is a process in which a loss of electrons occurs.

Antiprotozoal thiazoles. 2-(5-Nitro-2-thienyl)thiazoles

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1975
A series of 2-(5-nitro-2-thienyl)thiazoles and their vinylogs having substituted methylamine side chains has been prepared by halogen displacement on the corresponding 4-chloromethylthiazole. Of these, 4-morpholinomethyl-2-(5-nitro-2-thienyl)thiazole showed moderate activity against Trypanosoma cruzi and Trypanosoma rhodesiense in mice.
