Synthesis of DNA Building Blocks With Aminonaphthalimides and Cyanovinylenes as Uncharged Fluorophores: Fluorescent Readout From Turn‐On to Red‐Shift

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 29, 7 August 2026.
DNA architectures with aminonaphthalimides and cyanovinylenes as base surrogates form interstrand and intrastrand dimers showed that can be used as nucleic acid‐sensitive probes by their fluorescence turn‐on and red‐shift as readouts. The fluorescence turn‐on was tested by probing N6‐methyl‐2’‐deoxyadenosine (m6A) in DNA.

Synthesis of 4-(2-Methylthiazol-4-yl)-Hexahydroquinoline and 1,4-Dihydropyrimidin Derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2011
A series of new hexahydroquinoline and 1,4-dihydropyrimidine derivatives were synthesized. Condensation of 2-methyl- thiazole-4-carboxaldehyde (1) with 1,3-cyclohexanedione and alkyl 3- aminocrotonate afforded 4-(2-methyl-thiazol-4-yl)-hexahydroquinoline

MANGO‐“Fruitcage”: A Conditional Photocage Utilizing a Fluorescence Light‐Up Aptamer

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 29, 7 August 2026.
Fruitcaging ‐ a proof of concept study of a conditional photocage (Thiazol‐Orange) activated upon binding to the fluorescence light up aptamer (Mango). The prolongation of the excited state lifetime explains the redirection of the reactive pathway toward photocleavage and provides a sensitive spectroscopic readout.

Thermodynamic Functions of Thiazole and iso-Thiazole

open access: yesCroatica Chemica Acta, 1968
Some thermodynamic functions (the enthalpy and free energy functi ons, entropy and heat capacity) of thiazole and iso-thiazole have been calculated (300-1000° K), using the harmonic-oscillator, rigid-rotor approximation. The reported assignments for the two molecules were us ed, as were the published values for the moments of inertia of thiazole ...
