Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

PST thin films for electrocaloric coolers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Relaxor behaviour in a thin film of partially ordered PbSc0.5Ta0.5O3 (PST) was confirmed via slim P-E loops and the frequency dependence of the temperature at which the dielectric constant is maximum. Indirect measurements of the electrocaloric effect

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Study of annealing effects on the physical properties of evaporated SnS thin films for photovoltaic applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Tin Sulphide (SnS) thin films have been deposited on glass slides by thermal evaporation using SnS powder. The improvements in the structural and optical properties of SnS thin films on annealing at different temperatures (200 degrees C, 300 degrees C ...

Epitaxial Stabilization of Perovskite ATeO3 Thin Films

open access: yes, 2023
Tellurium oxides of the ATeO3 form typically do not crystallize in perovskite structures. Here, we show that perovskite-like ATeO3 (A = Ca, Sr, Ba) thin films can be grown on perovskite single-crystal substrates via epitaxial stabilization.

Optimized Conditions for Catalytic Chemical Vapor Deposition of Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2015
Here, we have synthesized vertically aligned carbon nanotubes (VA-CNTs), using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. Cobalt and ethanol are used as the catalyst and the carbon source, respectively.

Towards Defect Phase Diagrams: From Research Data Management to Automated Workflows

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A research data management infrastructure is presented for the systematic integration of heterogeneous experimental and simulation data required for defect phase diagrams. The approach combines openBIS with a companion application for large‐object storage, automated metadata extraction, provenance tracking and federated data access, thereby supporting ...
