The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

The sonoelectrooxidation of thiophene S-oxides
Thiophene-S-oxides (thiophene monoxides) are relatively new compounds, less stable than the better-known thiophene-S-dioxides. They are useful as synthons for a range of applications, including in the production of pharmaceuticals. They have interesting photochemical properties, but in this presentation we contrast the electro-oxidative voltammetry of ...

A novel low‐bandgap random terpolymer is designed for narrow band detection in charge collection narrowing (CCN) based organic photodetectors. With a relative thin active layer (<1 µm), the CCN‐based devices achieved a narrowband response of 68 nm full‐width‐at‐half‐maximum at 916 nm, together with Responsivity values of 0.13 A W−1 and dark current of ...

Thiophene-based donor–acceptor co-oligomers by copper-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition
Herein we present a three-component one-pot procedure to synthesize co-oligomers of a donor–acceptor–donor type, in which thiophene moieties work as donor and 1,2,3-triazoles as acceptor units.

Chiral Polythiophenes: Part I: Syntheses of Monomeric Precursors
The purpose of this mini-review is to comprehensively present the synthetic approaches used for the preparation of non-racemic mono- and multi-substituted thiophenes, which, in turn, can be applied as precursors for the synthesis of chiral polythiophenes

Triggering redox activity in a thiophene compound: radical stabilization and coordination chemistry [PDF]
The synthesis, metalation, and redox properties of an acyclic bis(iminothienyl)methene L− are presented. This π-conjugated anion displays pronounced redox activity, undergoing facile one-electron oxidation to the acyclic, metal-free, neutral radical L ...
