Hydrogen bonding in thiosemicarbazide
Acta Crystallographica Section B Structural Crystallography and Crystal Chemistry, 1970In a recent paper (Domiano, Fava Gasparri, Nardelli & Sgarabotto, 1969, DGNS) the crystal-structure analysis of thiosemicarbazide, carried out by photographic methods, was reported (final R=9 .9%) . The positions of the hydrogen atoms were postulated from consideration of the hybridization of the nitrogen atoms and the packing interactions, no direct ...

Effects of Thiosemicarbazide on Audiogenic Seizures
Psychological Reports, 196635 male albino rats were tested for audiogenic seizures and then divided into 5 time-delay groups. These time delays preceded bell-can stimulations following the administration of thiosemicarbazide. It was found that 1-hr. and 5-hr. delays resulted in an increase in the number of seizures.

Susceptibility to audiogenic seizure induced by thiosemicarbazide
Experimental Neurology, 1969Abstract Rats, cats, and monkeys were subjected to audiogenic stimuli after the administration of thiosemicarbazide (TSC). The treated rats responded to audiogenic stimulation with episodic running behavior (ERB) with or without convulsion (C), the most effective dosage being 4.4 mg/kg.

Thiosemicarbazid-1-ium Dihydrogenphosphate
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1998Thiosemicarbazid-1-ium dihydrogenphosphate, CH6N3S+.H2PO4−, unlike the semicarbazide complex compounds, does not exhibit temperature-dependent ferroelectric properties. X-ray structure determination at room temperature has shown that the crystal is centrosymmetric, space group C2/c, and thermal mobility of the structural units is relatively low.

Biological Activity of 4-(4-Bromophenyl)thiosemicarbazide
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1996The two molecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C7H8BrN3S, display different conformation. In both molecules, the S atom is trans to the NH2 group. The Br atoms of the two molecules approach each other at a distance of 3.573(2) A.

Menthone Semicarbazides and Thiosemicarbazides as Anticonvulsant Agents
Medicinal Chemistry, 2010A series of novel (+/-) 3-menthone semi carbazides (1-7) and thiosemicarbazides synthesized using an appropriate synthetic route and characterized by thin layer chromatography and spectral analysis. The anticonvulsant activity of synthesized compounds was established after intraperitoneal administration in three seizure models in mice which include ...

Thermodynamics of silver-thiosemicarbazide complexation
The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1976Abstract The stability constants of the complexes formed by the silver ion with thiosemicarbazide ( tsc ) are determined by a potentiometric method using a silver electrode, in a wide range of silver-ion overall concentration (from 10−4 to 9 × 10−3 mol dm−3).
