Security of Wang-Li Threshold Signature Scheme [PDF]
In 2003, Wang et al.[1] proposed a (t, n) threshold signature scheme without a trusted party based on the discrete logarithm problem. In this paper, according to [5]'s attacking method, we show that there are still some security leaks in that scheme,

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

A Proactive Threshold RSA Signature Scheme for Asynchronous Networks Abstract:
signature is employed. To tolerate a more powerful, mobile adversary, proactive secret sharing should be adopted to enhance the security of threshold signature.

Anti-frequency-shift packet detection for D2D power-saving communications over Wi-Fi network
An efficient packet detection scheme based on Wi-Fi interface was proposed. It was implemented by employing a novel normalized factor as a denominator in OFDM symbol synchronization-timing metric.Compared to the old-tradition schemes, the proposed scheme ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.
