Volumetric and Viscometric Studies of Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Furanose Sugar in Aqueous Medium from 288.15 to 298.15K [PDF]
Density (r/g cm-3) and viscosity (h/10-2gcm-1s-1=1centipoise,CP) of guanosine monophosphate (GMP) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) referred to as nucleotide, and 2-deoxy adenosine (DOA) and thymidine (TMD) as nucleoside along with their integral furanose

Cancer‐Like Fragmentomic Characteristics of Somatic Variants in Cell‐Free DNA
We report that in non‐cancerous subjects, cell‐free (cfDNA) molecules harboring somatic variants exhibit cancer‐like fragmentomic characteristics associated with clonal hematopoiesis. Importantly, these somatic variant‐associated fragmentomic aberrations are more pronounced in cancer patients. Leveraging such somatic variant‐associated signals in cfDNA,

Translesion synthesis in mammalian cells [PDF]
DNA damage blocks the progression of the replication fork. In order to circumvent the damaged bases, cells employ specialized low stringency DNA polymerases, which are able to carry out translesion synthesis (TLS) past different types of damage. The five

Structure‐Guided Engineering of a Cas12i Nuclease Unlocks Near‐PAMless Genome Editing
CRISPR‐Cas nucleases are limited by PAM requirements, restricting genome accessibility. Structure‐guided engineering of the compact Cas12i nuclease SF01 produced three variants with near‐PAMless, enabling efficient editing at diverse 5'‐NNTN‐3' sites. These nucleases expand the editable portion of the human genome more than fourfold, enabling efficient

Observation of coherent delocalized phonon-like modes in DNA under physiological conditions [PDF]
Underdamped terahertz-frequency delocalized phonon-like modes have long been suggested to play a role in the biological function of DNA. Such phonon modes involve the collective motion of many atoms and are prerequisite to understanding the molecular ...

Thermodynamic properties of enzyme-catalyzed reactions involving cytosine, uracil, thymine, and their nucleosides and nucleotides [PDF]
The standard Gibbs energies of formation of species in the cytidine triphosphate series, uridine triphosphate series, and thymidine triphosphate series have been calculated on the basis of the convention that Delta(f)G=0 for the neutral form of cytidine in aqueous solution at 298.15 K at zero ionic strength. This makes it possible to calculate apparent

Specific and Nonspecific Metal Ion−Nucleotide Interactions at Aqueous/Solid Interfaces Functionalized with Adenine,Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine Oligomers [PDF]
This article reports nonlinear optical measurements that quantify, for the first time directly and without labels, how many Mg(2+) cations are bound to DNA 21-mers covalently linked to fused silica/water interfaces maintained at pH 7 and 10 mM NaCl, and what the thermodynamics are of these interactions.

Effect of Terminal Groups of Dendrimers in the Complexation with Antisense Oligonucleotides and Cell Uptake [PDF]
Indexación: Web of Science.Poly(amidoamine) dendrimers are the most recognized class of dendrimer. Amino-terminated (PAMAM-NH2) and hydroxyl-terminated (PAMAM-OH) dendrimers of generation 4 are widely used, since they are commercially available.

Effect of defects on thermal denaturation of DNA Oligomers
The effect of defects on the melting profile of short heterogeneous DNA chains are calculated using the Peyrard-Bishop Hamiltonian. The on-site potential on a defect site is represented by a potential which has only the short-range repulsion and the flat

Temperature Sensitivity of Mutants of Bacillus anthracis Caused by a Block in Thymine-Nucleotide Synthesis [PDF]
Summary: Mutants were isolated from the non-capsulated strain Vollum of Bacillus anthracis which were unable to grow above 34° in the absence of certain pyrimidines. At elevated temperatures, one of the mutants, YC-TdR-, was found to be dependent on thymidine while the other, VC-T-, required thymine.
