Malignant thymoma [PDF]

open access: yesCancer, 1992
Sixty-one patients underwent operations for malignant thymomas between 1961 and 1989. Twenty-three patients had associated myasthenia gravis (MG), an incidence of 37.7%. Upon being admitted to the hospital, the patients' most common symptoms included chest pain, MG, cough, and dyspnea. Only 7 of 61 (11.5%) patients had no symptom.

Classification and staging of thymoma

open access: yesJournal of Thoracic Disease, 2020

Fibrous bands associated with higher Masaoka stage and poor recurrence‐free survival in patients with thymoma

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, 2021
Background Fibrous bands (FBs) are one of the histological features in tumors which can be confirmed by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)‐stained slides. FBs have been reported to correlate with malignancy in various tumors.
