Polarization Möbius strip at the tight focus of a generalized Poincaré beam
Based on the Richards-Wolf formalism, we investigate tight focusing of a generalized Poincaré beam. Analytical expressions are derived for all components of the electric field strength vector in the focal plane.

Study on the tight focusing of the local elliptically polarized beam
When a radially-polarized beam passes through a wave plate, the polarization distribution of the beam strongly depends on the retardation angle and the spatial position. When the retardation angle is changed from 0 to π, the polarization of the beam becomes the local elliptic polarization with non-uniform polarization distribution.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Dielectrophoretic Focusing of Microparticles in Curved Microchannels
Focusing particles into a tight stream is usually a necessary step prior to counting, detecting and sorting them in microfluidic devices such as flow cytometers [1] and continuous-flow separators [2].

Tight focusing of light beams: a set of exact solutions [PDF]
Exact solutions of Maxwell's equations representing light beams are explored. The solutions satisfy all of the physical requirements of causal propagation and of energy, momentum and angular momentum conservation. A set of solutions can be found from a proto-beam by an imaginary translation along the beam direction. The proto-beam is given

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
