Gambus Hadhramaut: The Malaysian Malay Lute Tuning Retrieval
This study identified elements in a simple homemade gambus from a local crafter using a scientific approach. The gambus was made from geronggang wood (Cratoxylum arborescens), a light Malaysian hardwood with pink sapwood, distinct from the heartwood with

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.

Robust Generalized Transient-Extracting Transform for Time–Frequency Feature Extraction
Time–frequency analysis (TFA) facilitates the extraction of instantaneous frequency (IF) features from non-stationary signals. Transient Extraction Transform (TET) produces highly concentrated time–frequency representations (TFRs) for pulse-like fault ...

High Free‐Volume Imidazole‐Based Ionomers for High‐Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
High free‐volume imidazole‐based ionomers (PF4IM‐72) enable enhanced phosphoric acid uptake and efficient proton transport, delivering peak power densities of 0.645 W cm−2 at 160 °C and 0.838 W cm−2 at 200 °C in HT‐PEMFCs. This work highlights a promising platform for next‐generation ionomers with improved high‐temperature performance and stability ...

Optimised time-frequency analysis for drone detection in a multi-signal environment [PDF]
The abuse of recreational drones has caused security issues, crimes, and privacy problems. Thus, drone detection is needed as evidence for law enforcement or support countermeasures such as radio jamming, and remote control override.

AI‐Designed Cyclic Peptides Enable Controllable Modulation of the CD28 Immune Checkpoint
AI‐designed cyclic peptides enable controllable modulation of the CD28 immune checkpoint through reversible disruption of CD28‐CD80/CD86 interactions. The lead peptide, CIP‐3, suppresses T‐cell activation without intrinsic agonist activity, demonstrates dose‐dependent efficacy in a murine colitis model, and attenuates inflammatory cytokine production ...

Time-Frequency Analysis of Electroencephalographic Activity in the Entorhinal cortex and hippocampus [PDF]
Oscillatory states in the Electroencephalogram (EEG) reflect the rhythmic synchronous activation in large networks of neurons. Time-frequency methods quantify the spectral content of the EEG as a function of time.
