Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Analysis of thermoelastic laminated Timoshenko beam with time-varying delay

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
This document presents a study into a linear thermoelastic laminated Timoshenko beam featuring a time-varying delay. Utilizing the semigroup method and the variable norm technique, we establish the well-posedness of the system.

Delay‐Independent Stability of Switched Linear Systems withUnbounded Time‐Varying Delays [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper is focused on delay‐independent stability analysis for a class of switched linear systems with time‐varying delays that can be unbounded. When the switched system is not necessarily positive, we first establish a delay‐independent stability criterion under arbitrary switching signal by using a new method that is different from the methods to

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Stability analysis of discrete‐time systems with a time‐varying delay via improved methods

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications
This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of discrete‐time systems with a time‐varying delay. The conservatism and computation burden are two important factors to evaluate a stability condition.

Robust Exponential Stability for LPD Discrete-Time System with Interval Time-Varying Delay

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
This paper investigates the problem of robust exponential stability for uncertain linear-parameter dependent (LPD) discrete-time system with delay. The delay is of an interval type, which means that both lower and upper bounds for the time-varying delay ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Stabilization of linear continuous time-varying systems with state delays in Hilbert spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
This paper studies the stabilization of the infinite-dimensional linear time-varying system with state delays $$dot x = A(t)x + A_1(t)x(t-h)+B(t)u,.$$ The operator $A(t)$ is assumed to be the generator of a strong evolution operator.

New Absolute Stability Conditions of Lur’e Systems with Time-Varying Delay

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2015
This paper is focused on the absolute stability of Lur’e systems with time-varying delay. Based on the quadratic separation framework, a complete delay-decomposing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed. By considering the relationship between the

Delayed feedback control of unstable steady states with high-frequency modulation of the delay

open access: yes, 2013
We analyze the stabilization of unstable steady states by delayed feedback control with a periodic time-varying delay in the regime of a high-frequency modulation of the delay.
