Non-identifiability of the two state Markovian Arrival process [PDF]
In this paper we consider the problem of identifiability of the two-state Markovian Arrival process (MAP2). In particular, we show that the MAP2 is not identifiable and conditions are given under which two different sets of parameters, induce identical ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Updating Measures of CME Arrival Time Errors
Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) drive space weather effects at Earth and the heliosphere. Predicting their arrival is a major part of space weather forecasting.

Physics-Based Neural Network Approach for 2D Underwater Acoustic Positioning Using Time-of-Arrival
Underwater acoustic positioning is challenging because environmental variability and multipath propagation can induce heavy-tailed localization errors.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Direction finding for an extended target with possibly non-symmetric spatial spectrum [PDF]
We consider the problem of estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of an extended target in radar array processing. Two algorithms are proposed that do not assume that the power azimuthal distribution of the scatterers is symmetric with respect to the ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
