Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Constrained Weighted Least-Squares Algorithms for 3-D AOA-Based Hybrid Localization
Source localization with time-of-arrival (TOA), time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA), time-delay (TD), received-signal-strength (RSS), or angle-of-arrival (AOA) measurements from several spatially distributed sensors is commonly used in practice.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Transition from discrete to continuous time of arrival distribution for a quantum particle
We show that the Kijowski distribution for time of arrivals in the entire real line is the limiting distribution of the time of arrival distribution in a confining box as its length increases to infinity.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Quantum optical time-of-arrival model in three dimensions
We investigate the three-dimensional formulation of a recently proposed operational arrival-time model. It is shown that within typical conditions for optical transitions the results of the simple one-dimensional version are generally valid.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Two Stages of Arrival Aircraft: Influencing Factors and Prediction of Integrated Arrival Time
To enhance the accuracy and real-time capability of estimated in-block time (EIBT) predictions at airports, this study proposes a two-stage integrated prediction method.
