Tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) as an efficient catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of 1,2-dihydro-1-aryl- naphtho[1,2-e][1,3]oxazine-3-ones under solvent-free conditions

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2016
1,2-Dihydro-1 -arylnaphtho[1,2-e][1,3]oxazine-3-one derivatives were synthesized in high yields using an efficient and one-pot condensation of 2-naphthol, aromatic aldehydes and urea catalyzed by tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) under solvent-free ...

Experimental methods in chemical engineering: Atomic absorption spectrometry—AAS

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 5, Page 2206-2224, May 2026.
Abstract Elements absorb electromagnetic radiation (light) of a specific wavelength in proportion to the number of atoms in its path. As the atoms absorb this light energy, electrons rise from the ground state to an excited state. In atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), high temperatures produce clouds of atoms from the sample (atomization) and ...

An Investigation into the Adsorption Characteristics of Grafted Mesoporous Silicates for the Removal of Tetramethyl Ammonium Hydroxide from Aqueous Solution

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2002
Four cubic mesoporous silicates (CMS), one unmodified and three grafted with amine, carboxylic and cyano surface functional groups, were prepared, characterised and compared as adsorbents for tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH) from aqueous solution ...

Excitation energy dependence of electron-phonon interaction in ZnO nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2008
Raman spectroscopic investigations are carried out on ZnO nanoparticles for various photon energies. Intensities of E1-LO and E2 modes exhibit large changes as the excitation energy varied from 2.41 to 3.815 eV, signifying substantially large ...

On the Electron Transport in Simplified IBC‐SHJ Solar Cells With MoOx Blanket Layer

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 523-532, May 2026.
In this work, we present a study of electron transport through a novel (n)nc‐Si:H/MoOx stack to improve the understanding and performance of simplified IBC‐SHJ solar cells with MoOx blanket layer. The champion solar cell fabricated with the optimized contact stack and metalized with copper electroplating enables efficiencies beyond 23.5%.

Tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) treatment of dry-etched trenches on (010) β-Ga2O3 to enhance trench profiles [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
We demonstrated heated tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) etching (25 wt. % concentration, at 90 °C) as an effective post-dry-etch treatment for improving dry-etched trench profiles on (010) β-Ga2O3. This treatment successfully converted rough, tapered

Laser‐Enabled Nanopinholes for Silicon Solar Cells with Polycrystalline Si/SiOx Passivating Contacts

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 8, 27 April 2026.
Conductive nanoscale pinholes are created by selective heating of pyramid tips on randomly textured silicon via pulsed laser irradiation. Due to heat concentration at the pyramid tips, the dielectric passivating layer is selectively opened at the pyramid tips.

A novel ZnO piezoelectric microcantilever energy scavenger: Fabrication and characterization

open access: yesSensing and Bio-Sensing Research, 2016
This novel piezoelectric zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film microcantilever was fabricated by micromachining technique. To release the cantilever, wet anisotropic etching of Silicon (Si) was performed by tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH).
