Investigation on Synthesis of Trimethylolpropane (TMP) Ester from Non-edible Oil

open access: yesBulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalysis, 2020
Trimethylolpropane (TMP) ester is an eco-friendly lubricant that fully biodegradable and known as bio lubricant. In this study, TMP ester was produced from waste cooking oil and rubber seed oil through a two-step synthesis approach.

Molecular Mimics of Intermetallic Phases: Selective Alkylamide‐Ligand Deprotection Drives Co/Ga Cluster Formation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
The bimetallic M14 cluster [Co3Ga2]H(μ2‐GaTMP)9 was achieved by a co‐reductive approach utilizing Mg and H2 to selectively deprotect and capture the Ga‐TMP metallo‐ligands, forming a Co/Ga alloyed cluster kernel, making it a structural representative of a related solid‐state counterpart.

Python for education: permutations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Python implementation of permutations is presented. Three classes are introduced: Perm for permutations, Group for permutation groups, and PermError to report any errors for both classes.

RaPID Selection of Backbone Macrocyclic Peptides Targeting Akt2

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Backbone macrocyclic peptide library (BMP) library was screened against Akt2 via RaPID to discover potent BMPPakti‐3 (IC50 = 34 nM). ABSTRACT Backbone‐cyclic peptides (BMPs) are an attractive class of molecules appeared in diverse natural bioactive products. However, mRNA display technology coupled with ribosomal synthesis is intrinsically inapplicable

Stress-Strain Behavior and Microstructural Evolution of Hot-Pressed Paper Webs Revealed by X-Ray Tomography

open access: yesBioResources
The mechanical performance of fiber-based materials depends not only on strength but also on elongation, which is particularly critical in converting and end-use applications.

New craniodental materials of Falcarius utahensis (Theropoda: Therizinosauria) reveal patterns of intraspecific variation and cranial evolution in early coelurosaurians

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Despite documented ecomorphological shifts toward an herbivorous diet in several coelurosaurian lineages, the evolutionary tempo and mode of these changes remain poorly understood, hampered by sparse cranial materials for early representatives of major clades. This is particularly true for Therizinosauria, with representative crania best known

Measurement of anisotropy of dark matter velocity distribution using directional detection

open access: yes, 2017
Although the velocity distribution of dark matter is assumed to be generally isotropic, some studies have found that $\sim\hspace{-0.1cm}25$\% of the distribution can have anisotropic components.

Re‐evaluation of a soft crested Edmontosaurin, with implications for hadrosaurid life appearance and diversity

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Hadrosaurid dinosaurs are generally regarded as “crested” or “non‐crested” depending on the presence or absence of a bony cranial crest. At least one supposedly “non‐crested” hadrosaur is known to have possessed a soft tissue cranial crest (or comb), based on an exceptionally preserved “mummified” specimen. Here we redescribe this specimen and

Tetramethylpyrazine Confers Protection Against Oxidative Stress and NLRP3-Dependent Pyroptosis in Rats with Endometriosis

open access: yesOrganogenesis
Tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) has been confirmed to suppress inflammation in endometriosis (EMs). Herein, this study investigated whether and how TMP affected NLRP3 inflammasomes and oxidative stress in EMs. After establishment of an EMs rat model, rats were

Protograph-Based LDPC Code Design for Ternary Message Passing Decoding

open access: yes, 2018
A ternary message passing (TMP) decoding algorithm for low-density parity-check codes is developed. All messages exchanged between variable and check nodes have a ternary alphabet, and the variable nodes exploit soft information from the channel.
