Recently, gene fusions between the androgen responsive gene TMPRSS2 and members of the ETS-family of DNA-binding transcription factor genes were found in prostate cancer. Recurrent fusions were identified between the 5'-noncoding region of TMPRSS2 and ERG, or less frequently ETV1 or ETV4, resulting in overexpression of normal or truncated ETS-proteins.

Prognostic Histopathological and Molecular Markers on Prostate Cancer Needle-Biopsies: A Review [PDF]
Prostate cancer is diverse in clinical presentation, histopathological tumor growth patterns, and survival. Therefore, individual assessment of a tumor's aggressive potential is crucial for clinical decision-making in men with prostate cancer.

Strategies to Improve the Lipophilicity of Hydrophilic Macromolecular Drugs
Hydrophilic macromolecular drugs can be successfully lipidized by covalent attachment of lipids, by hydrophobic ion pairing with negatively or positively charged surfactants, and by dry or wet reverse micelle formation. Lipophilicity enhancement of hydrophilic macromolecules has several benefits including stability and bioavailability improvement ...

ABSTRACT Introduction In Mexico, the 5‐year overall survival (OS) rate for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) ranges from 45% to 85%, markedly lower than the ∼90% reported in high‐income countries, where cytogenomic testing is essential for accurate risk stratification and therapeutic decision‐making.

Gene expression analysis of bovine embryonic disc, trophoblast and parietal hypoblast at the start of gastrulation [PDF]
In cattle early gastrulation-stage embryos (Stage 5), four tissues can be discerned: (i) the top layer of the embryonic disc consisting of embryonic ectoderm (EmE); (ii) the bottom layer of the disc consisting of mesoderm, endoderm and visceral hypoblast

SARS‐CoV‐2 Chronic Intervillositis: Variations of Maternal Antiviral Response
ABSTRACT Problem Placental compromise is a determining factor in the outcome of pregnancies complicated by maternal SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. Chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI) is the initial response to SARS‐CoV‐2 infection, but the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood.
