Promising TNF-α inhibitors: Targeting pathogenic TNF-α/TNFR signaling to restore Th17/Treg balance in rheumatoid arthritis

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Analysis
The pleiotropic regulatory effect of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), an essential cytokine involved in immune regulation, is of significant importance in the immune response.

TNF-α Deficiency Prevents Renal Inflammation and Oxidative Stress in Obese Mice

open access: yesKidney & Blood Pressure Research, 2017
Background/Aims: Obese patients and experimental animals exhibit high levels of inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. However, the role of TNF-α in the pathophysiologic process in obesity induced kidney damage is still unknown ...

THE EFFECT OF MASSAGE STIMULATION TO REDUCTION OF TUMOR NECROTIC FACTOR-ALFA (TNF-α) AND INTERLEUKIN-6 (IL-6) IN PRETERM, LOW BIRTH WEIGHT APPROPRIATE WITH GESTATIONAL AGE INFANTS

open access: yesIndonesia Journal of Biomedical Science, 2015
Preterm condition gives a new stressful environment to infants. This condition needs a good and gradual adaptation. External environmental conditions, treatment, care and good nutrition are needed. Massage stimulation in preterm infants is a method that can prepare preterm infants’ adaptation through the critical post-birth period.

The efficacy of maintenance therapy after remission induction with tacrolimus in ulcerative colitis with and without previous tumor necrosis factor‐α inhibitor

open access: yesJGH Open, 2019
Background and Aim Tacrolimus (TAC) is an important therapeutic option for remission induction in patients with refractory ulcerative colitis (UC). However, there is little evidence available on long‐term outcomes and maintenance treatments after TAC ...

TNF-α Levels Are Increased in Patients with Subjective Cognitive Impairment and Are Negatively Correlated with β Amyloid-42

open access: yesAntioxidants
The role of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has recently become a topic of debate. TNF-α levels increase in the blood of patients with AD, and amyloid beta (Aβ) plaques contain TNF-α deposits.

High Level of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF)-α is a Risk Factor for Preeclampsia

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2016
Objective: To define that elevated TNF-α serum level was the risk factor of preeclampsia in pregnancy. Method: This research is a case-control study. From 56 pregnant women, there are 28 women with preeclampsia and the other 28 women with normal pregnancy. Then the serum level of TNF-α was obtained at Prodia’s clinical Laboratory Denpasar.

The structural basis for the selective antagonism of soluble TNF-alpha by shark variable new antigen receptors

open access: yesNature Communications
The pro-inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is synthesized as transmembrane TNF-α (tmTNF-α) where proteolytic processing releases soluble TNF-α (sTNF-α).
