[Toluene 2,4-diisocyanate induced late asthmatic response and dual asthmatic response in guinea pigs].

Arerugi = [Allergy], 1993
Late asthmatic reaction (LAR) and dual asthmatic reaction (DAR) were developed in guinea pigs by repetitive treatment with toluene 2,4-diisocyanate (TDI). Development of LAR or DAR seemed to dependent on the TDI-treatment period. IgG was demonstrated in both the LAR and DAR models, whereas IgE was only in the DAR model. Increased numbers of eosinophils

Polymer degradation. II. Mechanism of thermal degradation of polyoxypropylene glycol–toluene 2,4‐diisocyanate polymer (POPG–TDI) and a block polyether glycol–TDI polymer

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: General Papers, 1964
AbstractFurther studies on the thermal degradation of POPG‐TDI polymer have been carried out. It has been shown that at temperatures of ∼200°C., the predominant degradation process involves random scission of the urethane linkages to give substantial amounts of isocyanate and hydroxyl.

Kinetic model for the process giving linear polyurethanes, with consideration of substitution effects and different chemical reactivities of functional groups in toluene 2,4‐diisocyanate

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1998
Based on an expanded kinetic scheme for 32 subsequent and parallel reactions that yield linear polyurethane, a mathematical model was developed for a gradual polyaddition process involving toluene 2,4-diisocyanate and 1,4-butanediol. Unlike the earlier models, this one followed Flory's assumption and made the reactivities of the oligomers dependent ...

Mechanical and biodegradability studies of toluene - 2,4 - diisocyanate (TDI) modified okra fiber reinforced polyester composite

Nigerian Journal of Engineering
The compatibility of natural fiber in a synthetic matrix is an important factor affecting bio-composite properties. Several methods have been used to enhance the fiber matrix interface, however, the use of toluene-2,4-diisocyanate (TDI) though recommended in literature, has gained little attention.
