Abstract Water-resistant composite plastics were prepared from soy protein isolate (SPI) or soy dreg (SD), poly( ɛ -caprolactone) (PCL) and toluene-2,4-diisocyanate (TDI) as the compatibilizer by blending and one-step reactive extrusion (REX) followed by compression-molding.

Toluene diisocyanate (TDI) is a large volume chemical used for the production of polyurethanes. It is sparingly soluble in water, but hydrolyses instantaneously liberating toluene diamine (TDA), which is highly reactive to TDI. The ecotoxicity of TDI is dominated by TDA.

Abstract Plastic materials that release free toluene-2,4-diisocyanate (TDI) can be commonly found in sports venues. As the presence of TDI in the atmosphere will result in severe air pollution, the WHO has enforced strict regulations to ensure that the proportion of the free TDI monomer in the isocyanate-polymer is lower than 0.5%.

It is well known that starting treatment for cedar pollinosis therapy with second-generation antihistamines before the initial day of pollen scattering can relieve nasal symptom severity during the pollen season. Olopatadine hydrochloride (olopatadine) is an antiallergic agent with histamine H1 receptor antagonistic action.

Abstract Gelator 1 which has two aliphatic chains, three amide groups, and one glucosamine unit showed an excellent gelation ability for many organic solvents. The in situ cross-link of these organic gels by toluene-2,4-diisocyanate resulted in new robust gels with high Tgel values, retaining their gel fiber super-structure.

Ethyl parathion and toluene 2,4-diisocyanate (2,4-TDI) vapors were generated using a vapor generation system that was designed for the evaporation of liquid samples at known flow rates. The vapor generation of parathion and 2,4-TDI posed a challenge because of their low volatility and tendency to absorb into surfaces of the vapor generation system ...

The main symptoms of allergic rhinitis (AR) are sneezing, rhinorrhea and nasal obstruction. In patients with AR, levels of nerve growth factor (NGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) increase. Olopatadine hydrochloride (olopatadine) is an anti-allergic agent with histamine H1 receptor antagonistic action.

A new type of polyurethane (PU) has been synthesized by using hydroxyl terminated liquid natural rubber (HTNR) and poly(e-caprolactone) (PCL) as a soft segment and toluene-2,4 diisocyanate (TDI) as a hard segment. This PU becomes a biodegradable and recyclable polymer. The PU samples were synthesized by solution polymerization.

Erythrocytes were stabilized and activated for conjugation by simultaneous treatment with toluene-2,4-diisocyanate and glutaraldehyde. Following conjugation with an antigen, these cells were suitable for use in passive hemagglutination tests and could be stored in either hypo- or hyper-tonic solutions at 4 degrees C for at least 3 months without ...

Abstract Up to date, only a few kinds of poly(azomethine-urethane)s (PAMUs) were synthesized and studied with thermal degradation steps. However, polyphenol based PAMUs including azomethine linkages have not been investigated yet. The polyurethanes were prepared by condensation reaction of 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (2,4-DHBA) with toluene-2,4 ...
