Comparing topological charge definitions using topology fixing actions [PDF]
We investigate both the hyperbolic action and the determinant ratio action designed to fix the topological charge on the lattice. We show to what extent topology is fixed depending on the parameters of these actions, keeping the physical situation fixed.

Quasi‐Static to Supersonic Energy Absorption of Nanoarchitected Tubulanes and Schwarzites
Nanoarchitected energy‐absorptive Tubulanes exhibit record energy absorption under quasi‐static conditions and exceptional inelastic energy dissipation under 750 m s−1 ballistics impact, with high performance spanning strain rates of 12 orders of magnitude.

Unconventional Topological Weyl Dipole Phonon
A pair of Weyl points (WPs) with opposite topological charges can exhibit an additional higher‐order Z2 topological charge, giving rise to the formation of a Z2 Weyl dipole (WD).

Topological susceptibility near Tc in SU(3) gauge theory
Topological charge susceptibility χt for pure gauge SU(3) theory at finite temperature is studied using anisotropic lattices. The over-improved stout-link smoothing method is utilized to calculate the topological charge.

Transport measurement of fractional charges in topological models
The static topological fractional charge (TFC) in condensed matter systems is related to the band topology and thus has potential applications in topological quantum computation.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Dirac operator index and topology of lattice gauge fields [PDF]
The fermionic topological charge of lattice gauge fields, given in terms of a spectral flow of the Hermitian Wilson--Dirac operator, or equivalently, as the index of Neuberger's lattice Dirac operator, is shown to have analogous properties to L\"uscher's

Unveiling higher-order topology via polarized topological charges
Higher-order topological phases (HOTPs) host exotic topological states that go beyond the traditional bulk-boundary correspondence. Up to now, there is still a lack of experimentally measurable momentum-space topological characterization for the HOTPs, which is not conducive to revealing the essential properties of these topological states and also ...

Topology in the SU(Nf) chiral symmetry restored phase of unquenched QCD and axion cosmology [PDF]
We investigate the topological properties of unquenched $QCD$ on the basis of numerical results of simulations at fixed topological charge, recently reported by Borsanyi et al..
