Sensitivity investigation of a subsonic cascade performance to geometric deviations based on statistical method

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, 2020
This paper has established an evaluation system for the sensitivity analysis of cascade/compressor aerodynamic performance to geometric deviations. The system includes blade profile parameterization with non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS), uniform ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Numerical study on variable area afterburner with wide bypass ratio

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
To investigate the impact of variable geometry components on the performance of afterburner, the afterburner of triangular variable connotation components was designed, and the effects of the different state points and duct ratio on the total pressure ...

A Validated CFD Methodology to Obtain the Total Pressure Loss Coefficients in Internal Compressible Flow at Junctions

open access: yesVolume 2: Automotive Systems, Bioengineering and Biomedical Technology, Fluids Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Non-Destructive Evaluation, and Nanotechnology, 2006
A global methodology has been developed and validated to obtain the total pressure loss coefficient in internal compressible flow at T-type junctions. This methodology is based on the calculation of the thermo-fluid properties extrapolated to the branch axes intersection, once the straight pipe friction losses numerically calculated have been ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

An Experimental Investigation for Seepage-Induced Instability of Confined Broken Mudstones with Consideration of Mass Loss

open access: yesGeofluids, 2017
To study and prevent water-mud-outburst disasters of tectonic fracture zones in geotechnical engineering, we tested seepage stability of confined broken mudstones with consideration of mass loss using syringe seepage method and a self-designed seepage ...

Prediction of secondary flow losses in an entrance duct to a low-pressure turbine

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics, 2019
Secondary flow features and total pressure losses by means of the total pressure loss coefficient are discussed in an entrance duct, named a turbine central frame (TCF), to a four-stage low-pressure turbine (LPT) of aero-engine.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
