Context: Pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas (PPGLs) have recently been shown to be associated with lower bone mineral density (BMD) and trabecular bone score as compared to healthy controls suggesting low bone mineral concentration and disrupted bone ...

Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.

The Correlation between Trabecular Bone Score and Lumbar Spine Bone Mineral Density in Patients with Normal and High Body Mass Index [PDF]
Background: Trabecular bone score (TBS) measures the underlying quality of bone texture using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) images. The present study aimed to investigate the correlation between lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) and TBS ...

Amuc_1473 Links Gut Microbes to Skeletal Homeostasis and Counteracts Multifactorial Osteoporosis
Amuc_1473, a previously uncharacterized protein enriched in Akkermansia muciniphila‐derived extracellular vesicles, is identified as a gut–bone messenger that promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis by engaging transcriptional and translational regulators in bone cells.

Reference Ranges for Trabecular Bone Score in Australian Men and Women: A Cross‐Sectional Study
Trabecular bone score (TBS) is a novel method for indirectly assessing trabecular microarchitecture at the lumbar spine, providing information complementary to areal BMD.

Assessment of bone quality with trabecular bone score in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients have a significant risk of developing bone loss. The trabecular bone score (TBS) is a relatively new parameter used to provide information on bone quality.

WTAP drives cartilage regeneration by activating an LRP1‐dependent lipid metabolic program in macrophages, enhancing IL‐10 and TGF‐β secretion to promote chondrogenic differentiation. Leveraging this mechanism, virtual screening identifies LRP1‐targeting compounds that effectively stimulate cartilage repair, highlighting a druggable epigenetic ...

Trabecular bone score in healthy ageing [PDF]
The main aim of this work was to report on trabecular bone score (TBS) by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) of healthy Italian subjects to be used as a reference standard for future study in clinical and research settings.

Trabecular Bone Score and Bone Mineral Density in Men with Vertebral Fractures
Traditionally bone mineral density (BMD) has been considered a major determinant of bone strength. However, it is shown that the bone strength and fracture risk depend on several parameters: macrogeometry of cortical bone, BMD, trabecular bone ...
