Modeling Graph Neural Networks and Dynamic Role Sorting for Argument Extraction in Documents
The existing methods for document-level event extraction mainly face two challenges. The first challenge is effectively capturing event information that spans across sentences.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Named entity recognition and coreference resolution using prompt-based generative multimodal
Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Coreference Resolution (CR) are both of pivotal significance in the domain of natural language processing. The accurate detection of pronouns and noun phrases has been shown to have a direct impact on cross-sentence and

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

An analysis of the requirements traceability problem [PDF]
In this paper1, we investigate and discuss the underlying nature of the requirements traceability problem. Our work is based on empirical studies, involving over 100 practitioners, and an evaluation of current support.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Comment on "New Results on Frame-Proof Codes and Traceability Schemes"
In the paper "New Results on Frame-Proof Codes and Traceability Schemes" by Reihaneh Safavi-Naini and Yejing Wang [IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory, vol. 47, no. 7, pp. 3029-3033, Nov. 2001], there are lower bounds for the maximal number of codewords in binary
