KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Integrating QTL mapping and transcriptome analysis to provide molecular insights into gynophore-pod strength in cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
IntroductionGynophore-pod strength is one of important mechanical properties that affect mechanized harvesting quality in peanut. Yet its molecular regulation remains elusive.MethodsWe measured gynophore-pod strength across three environments using a ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Transcriptome Analysis Elucidates the Potential Key Genes Involved in Rib Development in bmp6-Deficient Silver Carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix)

open access: yesAnimals
Bone morphogenetic protein 6 (BMP-6) is a constituent of the TGF-β superfamily, known for its ability to stimulate bone and cartilage formation. The investigation of bmp6’s involvement in the formation of intermuscular bones in fish has garnered ...

An Analysis of the Arabidopsis Pollen Transcriptome [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Physiology, 2007
In flowering plants, male gametogenesis occurs in the anthers. The division of a diploid sporogenic cell results in two cells with very different fates—the tapetal initial cell and the pollen mother cell.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Molecular Regulation of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation in Oat Leaves Under Drought Stress

open access: yesPlants
Common oat (Avena sativa L.) is one of the important minor grain crops in China, and drought stress severely affects its yield and quality. To investigate the drought resistance characteristics of oat seedlings, this study used Baiyan 2, an oat cultivar ...

Response of Downy Oak (Quercus pubescens Willd.) to Climate Change: Transcriptome Assembly, Differential Gene Analysis and Targeted Metabolomics

open access: yesPlants, 2020
Global change scenarios in the Mediterranean basin predict a precipitation reduction within the coming hundred years. Therefore, increased drought will affect forests both in terms of adaptive ecology and ecosystemic services.
