Comparison of the effects of transdermal and oral rivastigmine on cognitive function and EEG markers in patients with Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]
Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia in older patients. Rivastigmine (RV, Exelon®, Novartis), a reversible cholinesterase inhibitor, improves clinical manifestations of AD and may enhance ACh-modulated ...

We studied how five common immunosuppressants behave when delivered directly to a transplant site instead of systemically. Using a vascularized implant for islet transplantation, we show that local delivery protects grafts, limits drug spread to the rest of the body, and produces distinct immune signatures.

A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.

An update on the use of transdermal oxybutynin in the management of overactive bladder disorder
Antimuscarinic medications are used to treat nonneurogenic overactive bladder refractory to nonpharmacologic therapy. Side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness, and impaired cognition limit the tolerability of therapy and ...

Tumor dsDNA released by cryoablation is taken up by macrophages, activating the cGAS‐STING signaling pathway. This leads to an expansion of the CXCL10+ macrophage pool and increased secretion of CXCL10, which in turn recruits CXCR3+ T cells from draining lymph nodes into the tumor microenvironment to exert anti‐tumor effects.

This study presents a DNA hydrogel‐mediated delivery system, in which ginsenoside (GS) molecules are incorporated into small extracellular vesicles (sEV) secreted by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and the formed complexes are then anchored in DNA hydrogels via aptamer‐CD63 affinity as “GS/sEV@DNAgels”, to improve diabetic wound repair.

Deciphering the Impact of RAC1‐SPTAN1 in ARPKD Cystogenesis Using Multifaceted Models
Distal/connecting tubules expressing SLC8A1 have been suggested as a potential origin of ARPKD cysts. SPTAN1 has been identified as a key molecule in ARPKD cyst formation. Restoring SPTAN1 in PKHD1−/− organoids reduced cyst formation, normalized calcium levels, and decreased RAC1/c‐FOS expression, highlighting SPTAN1's role in ARPKD and the potential ...
