Iron Physiology and Its Impact on Atopic Diseases: An EAACI Taskforce Report
ABSTRACT Iron is essential for oxygen transport, energy metabolism, and immune regulation. Yet iron deficiency is the most common micronutrient disorder across all age groups, affecting nearly one quarter of the global population. Iron deficiency triggers nutritional immunity, a host defense mechanism that withholds and redistributes iron, contributing

Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.

The role of iron in normal and impaired testicular function
Abstract Iron plays a critical role in testicular physiology, impacting spermatogenesis, testosterone production, and overall testicular function. Iron homeostasis is maintained through systemic and cellular regulatory mechanisms, including hepcidin‐mediated systemic iron control and the iron‐responsive element/iron regulatory protein (IRE/IRP) system ...

ABSTRACT Background Pro‐inflammatory cytokines, TNF and IL‐1B, are essential for testicular homeostasis. Diacerein, an anti‐inflammatory drug, inhibits these cytokines, impairing M2 macrophages and Leydig cells (LCs). However, its impact on Sertoli cells (SCs) and M1 (CD68) macrophages remains unknown.

Developmental Trends in Serum Iron, Transferrin, and Transferrin Saturation From Birth to 12 Months
ABSTRACT Aim There is a need for updated reference intervals for iron status biomarkers during infancy. This study aimed to investigate reference interval trends and diurnal variation of iron, transferrin, and transferrin saturation in infants subjected to delayed cord clamping at birth (DCC). Methods Data analysis from population‐based Swedish studies,
