Transformation Kinetics on Mechanical Alloying [PDF]
We propose and develop a model as an attempt to describe the local mechanism of mechanical alloying. This model is based on the observation of global parameters, such as the volumes of the various phases present in the material, and their transformations during the process.

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Effect of ausforming on microstructure and hardness characteristics of bainitic steel
Effects of process parameters of the ausforming such as temperature, strain and strain rate on the martensitic start temperature, kinetics of isothermal bainitic transformation and microstructure refinement of a low carbon carbide-free bainitic steel ...

Quantitative Assessment of the Time to End Bainitic Transformation
Low temperature bainite consists of an intimate mixture of bainitic ferrite and retained austenite, usually obtained by isothermal treatments at temperatures close to the martensite start temperature and below the bainite start temperature.
