Single-Phase high impedance ground fault location method based on transient directional characteristics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
After the single-phase high impedance fault (HIF) occurs in distribution networks, it is difficult to select the faulted feeder and locate the fault section due to the weak fault current and susceptibility to noise interference.

Effects of the fault inception angle in fault-induced transients

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2012
The analysis of fault-induced transients in three-phase overhead transmission lines can provide extensive information about the fault type, detection, location, direction and sustained time in satisfactory agreement with real application in protective relays.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Generic Parity-Based Concurrent Error Detection for Lightweight ARX Ciphers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Cryptographic functions for constrained processing environments can be devised using lightweight cryptography. For use in safety relevant automotive applications where transient faults can occur at runtime the calculation of a cipher text requires ...

Havens: Explicit Reliable Memory Regions for HPC Applications

open access: yes, 2016
Supporting error resilience in future exascale-class supercomputing systems is a critical challenge. Due to transistor scaling trends and increasing memory density, scientific simulations are expected to experience more interruptions caused by transient ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Transient characterization and amplitude-phase compensation control for GFM-DFIG considering grid voltage phase jump

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The grid-forming doubly-fed induction generator possesses the ability to construct voltage and frequency. However, under grid fault conditions, it encounters issues such as transient instability, fault overcurrent, and insufficient reactive power support.

Airborne Advanced Reconfigurable Computer System (ARCS) [PDF]

open access: yes
A digital computer subsystem fault-tolerant concept was defined, and the potential benefits and costs of such a subsystem were assessed when used as the central element of a new transport's flight control system.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
