Improving transient performance of signal transformation approach
2012 IEEE 51st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2012A method is proposed to significantly improve the transient performance of Signal Transformation Approach (STA). For triangular reference signals, the proposed method is shown to be equivalent to a recently proposed hybrid control method, known as Impulsive State Multiplication (ISM), if the compensator contains at least two integrators.

Transform Analysis and Transient Response
2019Transform means change in form. For example, in finding the derivative of the product of two functions, we use the product rule and transform the problem into an easier one. Multiplication operation is more difficult than addition operation. By expressing the numbers in logarithmic form, we reduce the multiplication operation into an addition.

Detection of transients using discrete wavelet transform
[Proceedings] ICASSP-92: 1992 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1992A scheme for the detection of transient signals with unknown waveforms and arrival times is presented. The detection is performed in the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain, where the presence of a transient is indicated by a peak at a location that depends on the values of the dilation and translation parameters.
