We argue for a new mode of interpretation for attributed attitudes, what we call de translato interpretation. De translato interpretation assigns a meaning to an expression based on the interpretation given to that expression by the attitude subject rather than that standardly given by the attributor (usually the speaker).

Translation Quality Assessment in Translation Teaching
Arts, Culture and Language, 2023Translation quality assessment, an indispensable part of translation teaching, has drawn much attention in translationstudies. To get an overview of the topic, this study systematically reviews previous research on translation qualityassessment to summarize achievements and point out avenues for future research. Bibliometric analysis was used toanalyze

Translation Quality Evaluation
The Translator, 2008AbstractFollowing a review of existing approaches to translation quality evaluation, this paper describes a proposal for evaluation that addresses some of the deficiencies found in these models. The proposed approach is referred to as componential because it evaluates components of quality separately, and functionalist, because evaluation is carried ...

Quality Translation and Translation Quality
2021The novel feature introduced in the present article is that translations are not dominated by static frameworks but by dynamic phenomena in which the two living entities move in both directions to the TL and from the SL, and vice versa. The two languages constitute a single, complex dichotomous system made up of two separate components that continually,

Translation unit and quality of translation
Revista Española de Lingüística Aplicada/Spanish Journal of Applied Linguistics, 2020AbstractThis research aims to study segmentation (i.e., translation unit (TU)) in students’ translations of cultural references and assess the translation quality, using Translog software and a translation task. This product and process-oriented research examines the same independent variable, that is, segmentation, from two angles, namely, student ...

Abstract Recently, there is a growing interest in the development of translation quality research programmes at different stages worldwide. Scholars and researchers have paid much attention to the quality of translation; however, there is a dearth of meta-analyses of studies and research in the field of translation quality research.

Quality Control Mechanisms During Translation
Science, 1999Translation uses the genetic information in messenger RNA (mRNA) to synthesize proteins. Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are charged with an amino acid and brought to the ribosome, where they are paired with the corresponding trinucleotide codon in mRNA. The amino acid is attached to the nascent polypeptide and the ribosome moves on to the next codon.
