rWTC‐MBTA Vaccine, Alone and Enhanced with Anti‐PD1, Elicits Immune Responses against CNS and Peripheral B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An autologous whole‐tumor‐cell vaccine (rWTC‐MBTA) is evaluated in murine CNS lymphoma. Subcutaneous vaccination activates dendritic cells, broadens T‐cell priming, and drives lymphocyte trafficking to brain tumors, producing durable tumor control. Longitudinal bioluminescence and adoptive‐transfer assays verify CNS engagement. Combination with anti‐PD‐

A humanized IL-2 mutein expands Tregs and prolongs transplant survival in preclinical models

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Investigation
Long-term organ transplant survival remains suboptimal, and life-long immunosuppression predisposes transplant recipients to an increased risk of infection, malignancy, and kidney toxicity.

Parabiosis, Assembloids, Organoids (PAO)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review evaluates parabiosis, organoids, and assembloids as complementary disease models spanning systemic, organ, and multi‐organ levels. It highlights their construction strategies, applications, and current limitations, while emphasizing their integration with frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, organ‐on‐a‐chip, CRISPR, and ...

Autophagy differentially regulates tissue tolerance of distinct target organs in graft-versus-host disease models

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Investigation
Tissue-intrinsic mechanisms that regulate severity of systemic pathogenic immune-mediated diseases, such as acute graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), remain poorly understood.

Elemene Augments the Effects of Anti‐PD‐1 Immunotherapy on Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Regulating the miR‐130a‐5p/SPP/MHC‐I Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Elemene increases SPP expression by competitively binding with miR‐130a‐5p to suppress SPP mRNA degradation. This led to more antigen/MHC‐I complexes being expressed on the cell surface, which consequently facilitated the recognition and killing of HCC cells by CTLs and enhancing the antitumor immune efficacy of anti‐PD‐1.

Maintenance of graft tissue–resident Foxp3+ cells is necessary for lung transplant tolerance in mice

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Investigation
Mechanisms that mediate allograft tolerance differ between organs. We have previously shown that Foxp3+ T cell–enriched bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT) is induced in tolerant murine lung allografts and that these Foxp3+ cells suppress ...

A Lung‐Immune Dual‐Humanized Mouse Using Cryopreserved Tissue Enables Infection and Immune Profiling of Human Common Cold Coronaviruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cryopreserved lung‐humanized mice overcome the dependency to fresh tissues and permit head‐to‐head profiling of all four human common cold coronaviruses versus SARS‐CoV‐2 infection; the model validates Paxlovid efficacy against HKU1 and, when coupled with human immune‐system engraftment, enables interrogation of lung‐resident human immunity and HKU1 ...
