Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Free vibration of thick orthotropic plates using trigonometric shear deformation theory
In this paper a trigonometric shear deformation theory is presented for the free vibration of thick orthotropic square and rectangular plates. In this displacement based theory the in-plane displacement field uses sinusoidal function in terms of ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

A Study on Seismic Isolation of Shield Tunnel Using Quasi-Static Finite Element Method
Using a quasi-static method based on an axisymmetric finite element model for seismic response analysis of seismically isolated tunnels, the seismic isolation effect of the isolation layer is studied, and the seismic isolation mechanism of the isolation ...

Reissner's Mixed Variational Theorem toward MITC finite elements for multilayered plates [PDF]
In this paper, we analyze a two dimensional model of multilayered plates for which the main interest is to study the mechanical and physical properties, that may change in the thickness direction.

An Improved Shear Lag Analysis Method for Composite Box Girders with Corrugated Steel Webs
Composite box girders with corrugated steel webs (CBGCWs) have attracted increasing attention in bridge engineering. However, the shear lag effect has an impact on the mechanical behavior of thin-walled box girders and the impact of transverse ...

The temperature dependence of fatigue behavior in nickel‐based superalloys is investigated through high‐resolution measurements of plastic localization. While increasing temperature reduces localization and enhances fatigue performance in René 88DT, Inconel 718 exhibits a sharp degradation at intermediate temperature due to intensified slip ...
