Purification and Epitope Mapping of Jug r 4, a Major Walnut Allergen
Background: Tree nut allergy affects approximately 1% of the U.S. population and the prevalence is increasing. Walnut allergy is the most commonly reported tree nut allergy in the United States.

This study examines the current state of food allergy prevention guideline implementation worldwide, identifying key variables that may explain the observed global variation. Among 731 healthcare professionals across 80 countries, geography and clinical specialty independently drove allergenic food introduction practices, creating an 8.5‐month practice

ABSTRACT Background IgE‐mediated food allergy burdens individuals, families and healthcare systems. Randomised controlled trials indicate early introduction and regular consumption of common food allergens in infancy can reduce food allergy risk. Few studies have explored parental and healthcare professional experiences. This systematic review examines

Soy lecithin and DATEM, the two commonly used food emulsifiers introduced into many foods including peanut butter and puffed bread, in the 2000s, impair intestinal epithelial barrier integrity in human gut‐on‐a‐chip and induced pluripotent stem cell colon organoid models.

This observational analysis of a consecutive tertiary‐care cohort included 70 patients with walnut allergy and 44 patients with hazelnut allergy. Clinical severity was classified as mild, moderate, or severe. Hazelnut and walnut allergy severity was better captured by molecule‐specific IgE profiles than by undifferentiated seed storage protein ...

Human IgE Antibodies Recognize the Vicilin and Alpha‐Hairpinin Domains of Peanut Allergen Ara h 1
The ɑ‐hairpinin of Ara h 1 contains a dominant epitope that is both frequently recognized and blocks a majority of the IgE against this domain. Including this region in tests may improve diagnosis of peanut allergy. The trimeric structure of the vicilin region explains the ability of Ara h 1 to induce anaphylaxis with a single antibody.

Tree Nut Allergy: Effect of Thermal and Non-Thermal Processing on Allergenicity of Tree Nuts
Tree nuts are rich in nutritional compounds with functional properties but tree nut allergies have become one of the greatest clinical concerns and research priorities in food allergy because its severity and increasing prevalence. Tree nut allergens are

The External Exposome and Food Allergy: How Environmental Exposures Shape Disease Risk
ABSTRACT IgE‐mediated food allergy is a global health issue with rising prevalence that cannot be explained by genetic change alone, strongly suggesting that environmental exposures are a key driver. The external exposome encompasses several exposures that influence the developing immune system and modify food allergy risk.

Pre‐Seasonal Treatment With Recombinant Carrier‐Based Birch Vaccine Improves Birch Pollen Allergy
We conducted a two stage SCIT trial with GNR‐127 containing a recombinant fusion protein consisting of Bet v 1 and Mal d 1‐derived peptides fused to PreS from HBV. Stage 1 identified two safe maximum tolerated doses (40 μg and 80 μg). In the following Stage 2, five preseasonal injections were well tolerated, induced dose‐dependent allergen‐specific IgG,
