Decoupling Activation and Preservation: Architectural Design Principles of Organic Frameworks for Selective Photocatalytic Methane Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Selective methane (CH4) photooxidation emerges from architectural decoupling of activation and preservation. Programmable organic semiconductor frameworks spatially organize oxidative flux and intermediate residence, separating reaction zones from product domains to synchronize activation strength with stabilization and establish a selective oxidation ...

Photo‐Triggered, Fast, and Fluorogenic Thiophene‐Based Cycloalkynes for the Bioorthogonal Fluorescent Labeling of 1,3‐Dipole‐Tagged Molecules in No‐Wash Conditions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Thiophene is king! The fusion of thiophene rings to cycloalkynes super‐charged their copper‐free click chemistry applications, by (1) enhancing the alkyne reactivity (fastest cyclooctyne to date) and (2) rendering the alkyne fluorogenic (with fluorescence enhancement up to 150‐fold upon reaction), making these bioorthogonal reagents ideal for tracking ...

Development of Highly Selective 1,2,3-Triazole-containing Peptidic Polo-like Kinase 1 Polo-box Domain-binding Inhibitors

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Members of the polo-like kinase (Plk) family of serine/threonine protein kinases play crucial roles in cell cycle regulation and proliferation. Of the five Plks (Plk1–5), Plk1 is recognized as an anticancer drug target.

1,2,4-Triazoles. VII. Methylation of 1,2,4-triazoles.

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 1976
The methylations of twenty-five 1, 2, 4-triazoles with methyl iodide and diazomethane were studied and substituent effects on the product ratios are discussed. Methylation of 1, 2, 4-triazole and its symmetrically 3, 5-disubstituted derivatives occurred almost exclusively at the 1-position.

Thermodynamic Analysis and Pyrolysis Mechanism of 4,4′-Azobis-1,2,4-triazole [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The nonisothermal thermal decomposition kinetics of 4,4′-azobis-1,2,4-triazole (ATRZ) at different heating rates (5, 10, 15, and 20 °C·min–1) were investigated by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies.

Directional Second Sphere Effect on CO2 Activation and Reduction by Iron Porphyrin in Aprotic and Protic Media

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Directional control within the secondary coordination sphere redefines CO2 reduction by iron porphyrins. Simply rearranging identical urea hydrogen‐bond donors modulates reactivity, revealing that optimal catalysis does not only arise from maximal intermediate stabilization, but also from directional, adaptive non‐covalent interactions that balance ...
