The Vaccine Adjuvant Monophosphoryl Lipid A as a TRIF-Biased Agonist of TLR4
Science, 2007The inflammatory toxicity of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a component of bacterial cell walls, is driven by the adaptor proteins myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) and Toll-interleukin 1 receptor domain–containing adapter inducing interferon-β (TRIF), which together mediate signaling by the endotoxin receptor Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4 ...

TLR-TRIF signaling induces GLI3 to modulate inflammation
The Journal of Immunology, 2020Abstract Chronic inflammation is associated with several disorders and therefore the identification of novel regulators of inflammation is needed. We identified GLI3 as a novel component of the TLR-TRIF signaling. Stimulation of monocytes with LPS increased GLI3 expression in a hedgehog-independent mechanism.

Selective autophagy of the adaptor TRIF regulates innate inflammatory signaling
Nature Immunology, 2018Defective autophagy is linked to diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, the mechanisms by which autophagy limits inflammation remain poorly understood. Here we found that loss of the autophagy-related gene Atg16l1 promoted accumulation of the adaptor TRIF and downstream signaling in macrophages ...

TRIF — An intermediate approach to environmental tritium modelling
Journal of Environmental Radioactivity, 1997The movement of tritium through the environment, from an initial atmospheric release to selected end points in the food chain, involves a series of closely coupled and complex processes which are, consequently, difficult to model. TRIF (tritium transfer into food) provides a semi-empirical approach to this transport problem, which can be adjusted to ...

The adapter proteins of TLRs, TRIF and MYD88, are upregulated in depressed individuals
International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice, 2013TRIF and MYD88 are intracellular adaptor proteins for TLR signaling, and altered expression of these molecules can lead to defective or unregulated immune responses. Furthermore, previous studies revealed that depression may alter immune responses, but its mechanisms of action are unclear yet.

[Roles of MyD88 and TRIF in cardiac dysfunction during sepsis].
Zhonghua wei zhong bing ji jiu yi xue, 2019To investigate the roles of myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) and TIR domain-containing adaptor inducing interferon-β (TRIF) in sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction, and to analyze whether strain rate (SR) can be early sensitive evaluation for septic heart failure.Sixty-four healthy male C57BL/6 mice were divided into four groups by random ...
