Terahertz Spectrum of Trioxane

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung A, 1996
Abstract The pure rotational spectrum of trioxane, (H2CO)3 the trimer of formaldehyde, has been recorded with high resolution in the frequency range between 326 and 947 GHz for the main isotopomer, the 13 C, and the 18O isotopic species in the vibrational ground state. These new high J and K data reveal that the molecule is fairly rigid.

Polylimonene Improves the In Vivo Wound Healing Performance of Sodium Alginate‐Based Hydrogels

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 12, March 20, 2026.
An oligomer derived from orange peel essential oil incorporated into an alginate hydrogel was shown to be biocompatible and to exhibit a high capacity for in vivo incisional wound healing, as confirmed by experimental assays and mathematical models fitted to the data describing wound area reduction as a function of the dressing‐tissue contact time ...

Trioxane-initiated formic acid denitration [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The Savannah River Laboratory has developed a procedure for controlled low-temperature chemical denitration of acidic solutions. The procedure can be used in semi-continuous denitration facilities and can also be directly applied to nitric acid solutions in a storage tank (in situ denitration) if there is some provision for moderate heating (up to 80 ...

Development of Tunable Materials From Well‐Defined Alendronic Acid Functionalized Polyacrylamide: An Opportunity for Actinide Decontamination

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 6, Page 1431-1443, 15 March 2026.
Alendronate‐based copolymers for Nd and Ce recovery. ABSTRACT Bisphosphonic acid groups are emerging as promising functionalities for actinide decontamination, due to their high density of chelating sites. However, the chemistry of bisphosphonate (in particular alendronate) materials remains complex and underexplored.

A new hybrid: Artesunate-Tumacona B [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In recent years, the emergence of Plasmodium strains resistant to artemisinin derivatives, such as the commercial antimalarial Artesunate, has been detected. For this reason, in the search for new strategies to malaria control, we used the antiplasmodial

Pharmacological and pharmacokinetic studies on trematocidal drugs : praziquantel and two synthetic peroxide lead candidates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Trematodiases affect more than 250 million people worldwide, while the economic impact through veterinary infections is also colossal. Treatment options are however limited to two main drugs, triclabendazole for the liver fluke Fasciola hepatica, and ...

Tuning the Efficiency of Electrocatalytic Primary Amine Synthesis via Reductive Amination of Levulinic Acid Using Pb as a Catalytic Additive

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 3, 3 February 2026.
We present an efficient electrocatalytic reductive amination (ECRA) for primary amine synthesis. Using levulinic acid with ppm‐level Pb as a catalytic additive under galvanostatic conditions, the reaction achieves full conversion, up to 70% Faradaic efficiency, and >98% selectivity, highlighting ECRA as a practical, sustainable route to primary amines.

In vitro and in vivo activity of 3-alkoxy-1,2-dioxolanes against Schistosoma mansoni [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Objectives Compounds characterized by a peroxidic skeleton are an interesting starting point for antischistosomal drug discovery. Previously a series of 3-alkoxy-1,2-dioxolanes, which are chemically stable cyclic peroxides, demonstrated significant in ...

Catalyst‐Controlled Dual Dynamic Networks in Polyhydroxyurethanes from Six‐Membered Cyclic Carbonates

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 4, 26 February 2026.
External catalysts were used to promote dual covalent exchange reactions within polyhydroxyurethanes covalent adaptable networks thanks to the design of a multifunctional six‐membered cyclic carbonates bearing additional exchangeable ester functions. Polyhydroxyurethane networks prepared using potassium methoxide exhibited the best overall performance,
