Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes in Conjunction with Roflumilast Ameliorate Chronic Kidney Disease Through the Modulation of Fibrosis and Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The novelty of this study showed that the injection of exosomes produced from ADMSCs in combination with Roflumilast poses a more favorable therapeutic outcome for CKD induced by Adriamycin, compared to therapy with exosomes or Roflumilast alone. Roflumilast and exosomes treatment lowered the expression of the apoptotic, fibrotic, and inflammatory ...

Different expression analysis of genes between C type cytoplasmic male sterile line and its maintainer line in maize

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2014
Programmed cell death (PCD) is crucial for plant growth and development. It maintains plant normal physiologic metabolism by eliminating damaged, diseased and old cells.

Improvements in the Determination of Decomposition Gases from 1,3,3-Trinitroazetidine and 5-Nitro-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-trizol-3-one Using Capillary Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

open access: yes, 1997
A Chrompack PLOT fused-silica capillary column with a narrow internal diameter (0.25 mm) and PoraPLOT Q stationary phase are used for the simultaneous gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric determination of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon ...

The Acute Responses of Different-sized Coronary Arteries to Testosterone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Coronary arteries supply blood to the myocardium. The blood flow within the coronary arteries is altered by various compounds produced within the body. Sex hormones such as testosterone are known to cause the relaxation of large coronary arteries.

Chromatin status and transcription factor binding to gonadotropin promoters in gonadotrope cell lines. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BackgroundProper expression of key reproductive hormones from gonadotrope cells of the pituitary is required for pubertal onset and reproduction. To further our understanding of the molecular events taking place during embryonic development, leading to ...

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Gene and protein expression of glucose transporter 1 and glucose transporter 3 in human laryngeal cancer—the relationship with regulatory hypoxia-inducible factor-1α expression, tumor invasiveness, and patient prognosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Increased glucose uptake mediated by glucose transporters and reliance on glycolysis are common features of malignant cells. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α supports the adaptation of hypoxic cells by inducing genes related to glucose metabolism.
