Endogenous Trigeminal Neurons Induce Schwann Differentiation of Donor Stem Cells in Dental Pulp Regeneration via Reciprocal Extracellular Vesicles Interplay

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates that the host TG coordinates with heterologously implanted SHED to regenerate functional dental pulp through reciprocal EVs’ interplay. EVs derived from implanted stem cells migrate to the host TG to activate axonal regeneration.

Ligand Stoichiometry of TRPM8 [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 2010
Temperature-sensitive TRP channels (thermoTRPs) play a key role in somatosensory thermosensation. Several thermoTRPs, including the heat-activated TRPV1 and the cold-activated TRPM8, are not only sensitive to changes in temperature but also to ligands that evoke a thermal sensation, such as the ‘hot pepper’ compound capsaicin (TRPV1) and the cooling ...

Artificial Intelligence‐Driven Natural Product Drug Discovery: From Computational Genome Mining to Clinical Translation

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Natural products (NPs) have historically yielded numerous therapeutic agents, yet their integration into modern drug discovery has been constrained by chemical complexity, low abundance, laborious dereplication, and limited target annotation.

Central connectivity of transient receptor potential melastatin 8-expressing axons in the brain stem and spinal dorsal horn.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) ion channels mediate the detection of noxious and innocuous cold and are expressed by primary sensory neurons, but little is known about the processing of the TRPM8-mediated cold information within the ...

Research Progress on Upper Airway Cough Syndrome

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Upper airway cough syndrome (UACS) has been identified as a significant contributor to chronic cough in various national guidelines. However, the complexity of its pathogenesis, the lack of clarity surrounding its diagnostic criteria, and its overlap with other etiologies of chronic cough present considerable challenges in both diagnosis and ...

Control of motor coordination by transient receptor potential melastatin 8 through γ-aminobutyric acidergic circuit modulation in the male mouse cerebellum

open access: yesScientific Reports
Transient receptor potential melastatin 8 (TRPM8) is a non-selective cation channel that is activated by mild cooling and chemical agents. Although TRPM8 is widely expressed in the peripheral and central nervous systems, its cerebellar distribution and ...
