Expression of PD-L1 on Monocytes Is a Novel Predictor of Prognosis in Natural Killer/T-Cell Lymphoma
Background: Natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (NKTCL) is a highly aggressive lymphoma with a dismal prognosis, and novel therapeutic targets are urgently needed. Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) has become a promising therapeutic target for various cancers,

Short-term serum-free culture reveals that inhibition of Gsk3β induces the tumor-like growth of mouse embryonic stem cells. [PDF]
Here, we present evidence that the tumor-like growth of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) is suppressed by short-term serum-free culture, which is reversed by pharmacological inhibition of Gsk3β.

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Glioblastoma is the most lethal primary malignant brain tumor in adults. Simplified two-dimensional (2D) cell culture and neurospheres in vitro models fail to recapitulate the complexity of the tumor microenvironment, limiting its ability to predict ...

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

Macrophage Stimulated by Low Ambient Temperature Hasten Tumor Growth via Glutamine Production
Ambient temperature can regulate the immune response and affect tumor growth. Although thermoneutral caging reduces tumor growth via immune activation, little attention has been paid to the tumorigenic effect of low temperature.

In Vitro Culture and Application of Circulating Tumor Cells
Circulating tumor cells are formed by cancer cells in the primary or metastatic foci spreading to circulatory system, which is of great value in the early diagnosis of tumor, metastasis and recurrence monitoring and evaluation of efficacy, especially the important target of metastasis intervention.
