Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes—Location for Prognostic Evaluation [PDF]
Abstract Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) are crucial for the success of immunotherapy, and their density can predict prognosis. It has now been shown that computer-based analysis of the spatial organization of TILs adds prognostic value in early-stage non–small cell lung cancer, possibly improving the treatment algorithm to prevent ...

Due to the loss of DNA repair mechanisms in colorectal cancer (CRC) with microsatellite instability (MSI), somatic mutations accumulate within DNA; making them more prone to attack by tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) and macrophages.

Day/night variations of myeloid and lymphoid cell subsets in the murine inguinal lymph node
The circadian system is involved in the temporal regulation of the immune system. Our study reveals that two innate immune populations, NKT cells and neutrophils, predominate at the beginning of the day in healthy mice, highlighting how the time of day influences immune responses.

In patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the tumor microenvironment consists of cellular and stromal components that influence prognosis. Hence, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) may predict prognosis more precisely than conventional

Tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in malignant melanoma - allies or foes?
This is an overview of current problematics regarding the role of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in malignant melanomas. Various and often conflicting data have been published, correlating tumor type, stage, prognosis, as well as sex and age of ...

Quantifying tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte subsets : a practical immuno-histochemical method [PDF]
Background: Efficient histological quantification of tumour-infiltrating T and B lymphocyte (TIL) subsets in archival tissues would greatly facilitate investigations of the role of TIL in human cancer biology. We sought to develop such a method. Methods:
