Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.

Roles of tumor suppressors in regulating tumor-associated inflammation. [PDF]
Loss or silencing of tumor suppressors (TSs) promotes neoplastic transformation and malignant progression. To date, most work on TS has focused on their cell autonomous effects.

Targeted Drug Delivery by Radiation-Induced Tumor Vascular Modulation [PDF]
Effective drug delivery is severely restricted by the presence of complex pathophysiological barriers in solid tumors. In human pancreatic adenocarcinoma, mature and hypopermeable tumor blood vessels limit the permeation and penetration of chemo or nanotherapeutics to cancer cells and substantially reduce the treatment efficacy.

Serum Soluble Mediator Signatures of Lupus Nephritis: Histologic Features and Response to Treatment
Objective Lupus nephritis (LN) management remains challenging, and novel noninvasive biomarkers are needed. This study quantified serum soluble mediators in the Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) LN cohort to identify biomarkers of histologic features and treatment response.

Cancer treatment with vascular disrupting agents (VDAs) causes rapid and extensive necrosis in solid tumors. However, these agents fall short in eliminating all malignant cells, ultimately leading to tumor regrowth.

Hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha is required for the tumourigenic and aggressive phenotype associated with Rab25 expression in ovarian cancer [PDF]
The small GTPase Rab25 has been functionally linked to tumour progression and aggressiveness in ovarian cancer and promotes invasion in three-dimensional environments.

The therapeutic value of vascular targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP) for cancer has already been recognized in the clinic: TOOKAD®has been clinically approved in Europe and Israel for treatment of men with low-risk prostate cancer. When light is applied shortly after intravenous administration of the photosensitizer, the damage is primarily done to ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Exploiting the neoantigen landscape for immunotherapy of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma [PDF]
Immunotherapy approaches for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) have met with limited success. It has been postulated that a low mutation load may lead to a paucity of T cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME).
