External Intermittency Simulation in Turbulent Round Jets [PDF]
to study passive scalar mixing and intermittency in turbulent round jets. Both simulation techniques are applied to the case of a low Reynolds number jet with Re between time-averaged results for the scalar field of the low Re case demonstrate reasonable

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Simulation of Vertical Plane Turbulent Jet in Shallow Water
A plane, turbulent, nonbuoyant, vertical jet in shallow water is simulated numerically using a three-dimensional computation model employing standard 𝑘-𝜀 and renormalized group 𝑘-𝜀 turbulent closure schemes.

Turbulence Models Application in Air Flow of Crossflow Turbine
Using the CFD method as the initial analysis for experiments has more benefits, including saving time and costs. The variable of flow parameters and geometry can be easily developed to get the desired results.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Turbulent Events and Gas-Side Mass Transfer Coefficients in a Wavy Air-Water Stratified Flow [PDF]
Turbulence structure on the gas side of a wavy stratified flow was experimentally investigated in a near horizontal 18.7 cm (H) 10 cm (W) 5.5m (L) rectangular duct.By applying the Variable Interval Time Averaging (VITA) technique to the hot wire ...
